What usually goes wrong.
Faded or reverting leaf pattern
Variegated Chinese Evergreens lose vibrancy in very low light. If yours has some variegation, move it slightly closer to a light source to preserve the pattern.
Curling leaf edges
Usually a cold draft or low humidity. Keep it away from AC vents and drafty windows in winter.
Yellow leaves
Almost always overwatering. Let the top few centimetres of soil dry out before watering again.
Brown leaf tips
Sensitive to fluoride and chlorine in tap water. Switch to filtered or distilled water if this keeps recurring.
