The default trailing vine for a reason - it grows in almost any light and tells you exactly what's wrong, if you know where to look.

Best window: East or filtered south, a couple of metres back from the glass.

What usually goes wrong.
Leggy vines, small leaves
Needs more light and more frequent pinching. Trim just above a node to encourage fuller, bushier growth instead of one long bare vine.
Yellow leaves
Usually overwatering. Let the top 2–3cm of soil dry out fully before watering again - Pothos hides root stress well until it's already underway.
Brown, crispy tips
Low humidity or fluoride and chlorine in tap water. Switch to filtered water and group it with other plants to raise local humidity.
Leaves turning solid green
Variegated Pothos reverts to green when it isn't getting enough light. Move it closer to your best window to bring the pattern back on new growth.
Pothos hides overwatering well until it doesn't. I always ask when you last watered before diagnosing yellow leaves - the vine itself won't show stress until root damage is already underway.
